What should I do prior to my appointment?
Prior to your appointment, you will want to start hydrating more than usual up to a week in advance. Water is so important for tattooing the lips. If your lips are chapped at all, we will need to reschedule. Exfoliating your lips daily will help prepare and smooth your lips for the tattoo. You can make your own by mixing coconut oil and sugar! Smooth and hydrated lips will give you the best healed results. If you are prone to cold sores, it is mandatory that you take an anti-viral before and after your appointment and even then, there is a possibility an outbreak can occur. For this reason, we recommend getting presribed an anti-viral or the over the counter vitamin, L-Lysine that can be found at Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc.
